ABOUT

Ballet Camrose is a non-profit organization founded and currently operated in Camrose, Alberta. Our wonderful studio was founded by Margaret Flynn of the Edmonton School of Ballet and Hanne Livingston and is currently owned and operated by Colleen Salahub-Olsen since 1987. 

Ballet Camrose offers a full range of programs in the world respected Cecchetti ballet syllabus, Cecchetti pointe, Al Gilbert tap, an all-encompassing jazz syllabus, modern, company contemporary, and company lyrical. All of our programs focus on quality, technical training to provide our dancers with a strong technical base, create a well-rounded, multi-faceted dancer, versed in many forms of dance, and allow our dancers to train safely. We offer provincial examinations in our jazz and Al Gilbert tap syllabus programs, provincial examinations in our junior grades ballet syllabus classes, and international examinations in our Cecchetti ballet syllabus programs. Our studio prides itself in our exam work as it gives our dancers a year-long goal, experience under pressure, as well as a strong sense of self-confidence, fulfilment, and achievement. 

Ballet Camrose attends four competitions a year during the months of March through early May. Our students gain competitive experience, stage experience, and a sense of family and community. All of our competitions provide a positive, constructive atmosphere and opportunity to grow studio pride.
